| Angela Noffsinger & Lance Jones La Quinta Resort & Club, February 3, 2007 These Palm Desert high school sweethearts loved this resort’s ornate doors and Old World architecture. What’s more, the historical aspect of the 1926 resort was emphasized by the fact that Lance’s parents had married there 27 years before. “They did a fabulous job with the food and service,” says Angela, who walked down the aisle to a classical guitarist. “Most memorable was the scenery and each other.” Photo credit: weddingsbyavraphotography.com | |
| Suzanne Siegel & Robert Hurstrom Desert Falls Country Club, January 20, 2007 For these desert natives, Desert Falls was a “match made in heaven.” Suzanne describes it as beautiful and fairly priced. The only quirk came during the ceremony when the officiant wanted Suzanne to repeat “I will serve you.” “I said, ‘I’ll do what??” recalls the bride. “It should have been on America’s Funniest Home Videos.” Photo credit: Mellany Miller Photography | |
| Kamaren Henson & Grant Finlay Parker Palm Springs, October 28, 2006 This Southern California girl and her Scottish groom, who met when they were only 13, weren’t shy about the guys showing up to the ceremony in traditional garb. They live in Torrance, but loved the grounds and eccentrically modern style of “The Parker.” Photo credit: Beth Beijion Photography | |
| Sarah Hudson & Devin Wiltbank Spencer’s Restaurant, October 21, 2006 “We wanted an outdoor wedding, but a few of the country clubs were not accommodating,” Sarah says. “Spencer’s intimate setting that bumps up against the mountain not far from downtown Palm Springs turned out to be “the perfect fit.” Photo credit: Mellany Miller Photography | |
| Lizette Solorzano & Chris Bricker Desert Willow Golf Resort, February 17, 2007 “Fantastic” is the word Lizette uses to describe the resort she chose for its combination of a scenic atmosphere and budget-friendly options. The day’s highlight? “We had studied at Arthur Murray dance studio then surprised our guests by dancing the rhumba!” Photo credit: Red Lantern Photography | |
| Courteney Lunt & Hugo Corvalan Spencer’s Restaurant, May 5, 2007 While this couple lives in New York City and met there through friends, they chose Palm Springs, where Courteney’s mother lives, for their celebration. “We wanted the rest of the family to experience the area, too,” Courteney says. “The food at Spencer’s was absolutely amazing.” Photo credit: Mulberry Photography | |
| Lindsay Fletcher & Alan Shettlesworth Indian Wells Country Club, April 14, 2007 “We love it here and wanted to get married here,” says Lindsay, whose parents live here, though the couple makes their home in Albequerque, N.M. “One of the best parts was walking down the aisle with my dad,” she says. “I’ve always been a daddy’s girl!” Photo credit: weddingsbyavraphotography.com | |
