DINK’S Restaurant & Bar has been exciting passersby as it was being constructed from the ground up all summer and now it’s finished and will open to the public on October 6.
Three years in the planning, the architecture is stunning with multi-peaked roof, glass walls and an ideal indoor/outdoor environment designed by Walid Saba to be Palm Springs’ newest hot spot for unique dining, drinking, and entertainment. While elegant, it is a casual meeting place for friends and business associates for lunch, cocktails, dinner, and evening fun.
The menu is enticing with small plates meant to be shared and an extensive choice of meat, fish, chicken, Mexican specialties, pizza, sushi, dips, soups, salads, and sandwiches to delight the most discriminating palate. With great after- five specials and desserts to die for. Don’t miss the five-flavored crème brûlée for two! Designed by principal and culinary director Michael Owings this is a very special dining place with made-from-scratch foods including international and regional cuisines — Caribbean, Pan-Asian, Italian, Southwestern, and Southern.
The bar is an experience in itself with mojitos, martinis, unique signature specialty cocktails, and Tropical Teasers and can be paired with some of the tasty small plates.
There are even indoor and outdoor cabanas VIP cabanas that promise to be a big hit on the desert scene. You can “be seen” or not as you choose. They feature many amenities to make your evening spectacular. DINK’S is environmentally friendly and definitely green. Make it a point to check it out. The owners (Denny Edwards, Darrell Kelley, and Michael Owings) state, “DINK’S is the Ultra Spot.”
